Today was Kata's morning meeting. She brought us some paper and made us draw. But not the conventional way of drawing!
First it was not watching and knowing...
Secondly, it was not knowing and watching.

It was quite fun. And I find quite interesting, how scientific work needs that awareness, of the senses and of the knowledge in order to grasp the discovery in its more precise explanation...

I forgot to document this really important morning meeting last week. It was based on a quote:

“As a public school teacher, I teach the lesson of dependency. Good people wait for a teacher to tell them what to do. This is the most important lesson of all: that we must wait for other people better trained than ourselves to make the meaning of our lives… We’ve built a way of life that depends on people doing what they are told because they do not know any other way”.

I saw this quote before (last year in Freshman Experience), and I admit that it was life changing, besides, I saw this same quote with brand new eyes. I love that, going back to what I once learned and just observe it with brand new eyes, a brand new knowledge that hasn't been applied before to that.

On this, I will admit, I had an amazing experience sharing with my peers a moment in conversation, in which we read the quote, and took the wheel of the road of our learning process.

And that is what the whole quote (which is pure irony), is all about. Independent learning.

First of all, we watched the announcement of this really cool movement that is going on here in Goathemala.
So, I ain't such a nationalist as far as I know, to say everything of this just about Guatemala. I would say, humanity is the best. But alright, maybe the coffee is an exception. The video I really enjoyed was this. I am REALLY INTO this.

This. This is a series of 3 videos: LEARN. MOVE. EAT. What more can be added to these three beautiful experiences? These all can be resumed to learn, but one of the things that I appreciate more is learning and of course, MOVING. MO-VING. THAT. THAT. THAT. Is what I'll do forever.

What things I know are true? I've already realized my ignorance, but not the ignorance within my ignorance! Haha! But it was an amazing exercise.

This song is wonderful, it is a set of mixes made by different conferences of TED. Definitely, ideas in a song this way made me feel extremely happy. This types of lyrics are amazing! I like them a little more abstract though, but the goal... that is what I really liked.

Besides this video, we took time to watch others that told us a little of economic theory:

And a little of history of Nikolas Tesla and Che Guevara. It is extremely funny that wrong idea we have of certain people, such as Thomas Edison and Guevara. These people just became famous for reasons that aren't really true or legitimate. People using Che Guevara shirts, pretending to be rebels. People crediting Edison in all of the textbooks not considering that he wasn't the actual inventor of so many things.

We took yesterday's and today's morning meeting to talk about our heritage.
It was pretty cool. We got to know so much about our families, and about the tendency of grandparents being so crazy!
Diego, for example, is related with Amable Sanchez.
I talked about my heritage with my mom today and believe me. It was amazing. I will share it eventually, but what really strikes me are the little things and crucial little facts which the moment and space defined what the whole future is going to be!

It was Majo's morning meeting, and I would say, it was pretty fun! We watched three of her favorite videos of VSauce. The first one was What Color Is A Mirror? and this one explained how the mirror is some kind of a smart kind of white.  It reflects all colors that are put in front of it. But they're a little bit green because they are imperfect.

Something really beautiful about these colors is that, one has to count the fact air when talking about colors, because our atmosphere lets us perceive certain kinds of colors because we of the traveling wavelengths.
Other videos we watched from the same channel. One that talked about how many times we type, and the other one about Dejavu. It is amazing how our brain reacts in certain unconscious forms (Consilience) and still, we are not aware of that happenings.

After the previous day debrief, we had an amazing time next day just saying thanks. People were really emotional, saying things like family, friends, etc.

I have to say that I am mostly thankful to luck. Whoever decided I was going to born in this age, country, etc. Mostly luck. And I am extremely amazed and thankful for that. For the space, for the time, for my unconscious passion and will to learn (specially music), my decisions, and my ability to think. The fact that I am human. That's amazing.

We took some time in the Agora to share something about ourselves. We had thirty seconds each. We got to know a little more about each other, a thing that I think is crucial in every human relation. Alejo for example, made snowboard and that is cool. Albert shares my passion for dinosaurs also!
It's cool meeting people, and something really beautiful about this sharing is that you're relating with people that have had experiences so much different than mine... it is something wonderful. I love to think that I have something to learn from everybody.

It's been hard to acknowledge this, but my experiences in life made me understand this.

3D.

So, I discovered I have a 2D vision. Just kidding. Javier Tabush's morning meeting consisted in showing us some 3D images.
Also called stereoscopy (from the Greek στερεός (firm) and σκοπέω (see)), the thing with 3D visualization is the interaction of the two eyes and their perception.

It is that illusion of depth that some images give us (when in 2D), by changing the color characteristics and their placements. That is why it is easier to find the image when one stares near the picture and starts separating the pupils from the image, so the vision can be parallel and it can perceive that third dimensional impression.
